Department of Geology and Geophysics Annual Poster Session
The poster session is hosted by Energy Club, with sponsorship from EOG Resources for the event.
April 22nd from 8:30-11:30 am on the 3rd floor of FASB
Students, please register to present a poster by April 9th!
Please also accept the outlook calendar invite to mark your calendar and attend the poster session as a presenter and/or poster viewer. This is always a fun department event and a great way to get to know students’ fantastic research.
General Information
This is a fantastic opportunity for both graduate and undergraduate students to share their research findings, explore diverse geoscience topics, and engage with fellow colleagues and industry professionals.
- All geoscience topics are welcome, and participants are encouraged to present either an existing poster or create a new one. Each presentation will be accompanied by a 2-minute spiel to provide further insight into the research.
- Poster printing will be sponsored and free to participants.
- Geoscience professionals will judge based on poster content and presentation quality.
Schedule:
- Breakfast: 8:30 am in FASB 303
- Judging & poster viewing: 9-11 am in FASB 3rd floor
- Winners announced: 12 pm during the Geology and Geophysics Spring Banquet - Please RSVP for the banquet here
- Prizes:
- Undergrad Students - $100, $75, or $50 Target gift card for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, respectively
- Graduate Students - $100, $75, or $50 Target gift card for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, respectively
