Graduate Students

Huge shoutout to G&G grad students Samuel Carter and Ebenezer Adomako-Mensah for having their achievements recognized at the Geological Society of America conference (GSA)! They both received the GSA Graduate Student Research Grant and gave oral presentations at the conference in Anaheim!

And a special congratulations to Samuel Carter for being awarded the “Dr. Thomas C. Winter Graduate Student Research Award” presented by GSA (an award that supports research grants for graduate students working in hydrogeology/hydrology) for his research proposal Using Environmental Tracers to Develop a Conceptual Framework of Groundwater Inflow into Farmington Bay, Great Salt Lake, UT.

Undergraduates

We are so proud of our undergraduates, Constance & Autumn who shared their research at the GSA conference.

Constance shared her poster on the “Fate of Recycled Material in the Mantle During Decompression Melting”.

Autumn presented her research on “MELT-PX 2.0: Effect of the Melting Regime on the Magmatic Productivity of a Heterogeneous Mantle”.
